Disperse Dyes
Today i did some heat transferee disperse dying, this type of dying is the only water soluble dyes that can dye polyester this form of dying can also be used with various techniques and dyes on any synthetic.
to use this technique I first painted sheets of paper in various colours, waited for them to dry and then using the heat press I lay the paper painted side up placed my ferns and leafs (that had been put under the heat press to dry the first, i found this made the silhouette much clearer) and then lay my fabric over the paper and plants putting new print paper on top to keep the fabric from directly touching the heat press, closed the heat press for 20 seconds and then this is the final result.

Research Trip to Liberty of London
This is a small research trip to London, I went into Liberty to get an idea if what is on the market and what type of designs are being used.
This design in-particular caught my eye with its design and overall style.
I first looked at a lot of their designs that thy had already out or made into cushions but after not finding anything that peaked my interest.
I took a look in some of their Fabric look books for anything that I could be inspired by.
I then found some designs that where exactly what I was looking for.
